Fundraising Events

Fundraising helps us to purchase equipment that might otherwise be unaffordable. These events are also a way to bring together all of the people,( children, parents and staff), who constitute “Our Community.”

Each year we organize two fundraising events.

The Walk-a-Thon occurs in late spring and includes a sponsored walk that ends with a family picnic in our favourite place –  Point Pleasant Park. A variety of activities and entertainment are arranged for the children. Pledges from the walk raise funds to purchase equipment for the children.

The Annual Fundraising Auction is a favourite event held each November. The Auction Committee solicits donations of goods and services from individuals and local business. The evening includes a live auction, silent auction, entertainment, refreshments and cash bar. Guests can browse the craft and bake tables, enjoy the Children’s Art Gallery and mingle with other PPCCC families, Board members and staff, all while supporting a very worthy cause.
